Hi Leila,

The puppy we picked up from you last week is absolutely gorgeous, by the time we arrived back in Saskatoon we had all fallen in love with her. We have named her Bella (the beautiful) and she has slotted into our family like she has always been here.

The kids adore her and she them, always right in the middle of what they are doing.

Bella is such a clever dog, she is already trained to go toilet in a certain part of the garden, she sits down when we come to a roadside, we can't thank you enough for her.

Hi Leila,

I just wanted to send you a quick email. Sky is just a fantastic dog he is so well behaved and smart. He is such a wonderful addition to our family. We were walking him last night off lease in the country and he is defiantly a bird dog. He would see the geese in the field look at us then back at them as if to say please can I go, but he stayed beside us. We can't wait to go camping and hiking with him.

Just a note to let you know that Amos is doing great. He is bright and healthy. We work and swim daily. He loves water retrieving and though I don't hunt he experienced guns in South Dakota and has no fear of gun fire.  He has been to many public affairs with me and behaves as a model citizen.

Hi Leila,
Thought I would send you a couple photos of Storm. Now just over a year he is 82 lbs of solid muscle, a wonderful family dog and an avid hunter. His hunting last year at 4 months old was amazing and so far this year he has continued to amaze. He has that internal drive to flush and retrieve in any setting. This past weekend he must have swam 1 km to retrieve a duck. At the end of the day he loves to cuddle in with one of the family to rest. Thank you for our wonderful pal.

Hello Leila & Garry

Just a quick note...Amber is now 3 years old and continues to amaze us on a regular basis with her smarts and unbelievable personality! We have never tied her a minute of her life, nor does she have a pen or run outside, (several beds in different areas of the house) she rarely wears a collar, but just seems to understand that at certain times of the year she can't go on the public swim beach or lawn at our campground or wander away from our house and area without one of us. She will go as far as she is allowed and sit, eventually lay down, under the pine trees, and watch and wait for our kids to come out of the water. Simply amazing.

She does have a condition that we have diagnosed as OTBD (Obsessive Tennis Ball Disorder). We were thinking of trying her out for an Every Ready battery commercial... She hides them around the campground so she has one whenever and wherever she needs one. She has all the campers trained to throw the ball for her and is loved by all!
She still loves to ride on and in anything with us, including the quad, backhoe, snow machine, sled, boat, pontoon, and she has a cushions and quilt in the small backhoe for snowplowing...  Of course she loves the lake and water and is still going in on a daily basis.

We continue to teach/train her new tricks and are so very proud of her and amazed at how fast she learns. She puts her toys away in her toy box before she gets another (most of the time), asks to go on her cushion on the couch, sits and stays when asked (even when I throw a ball...) She is the perfect weight for a back massage - she simply shuffles up and down with her front paws and gets into all those little spots that feel so good. She is simply the best dog ever!

"Hello Leila,
My husband and I purchased one of your pups three years ago. We love him to pieces and are happy that he is so well behaved. We recently had a little baby boy and Gunner is wonderful with him. Last summer we were camping close to your place and thought that if we go again this year and have Gunner with us we will have to stop by. I just wanted to let you know that we have recommended you to anyone we know that is thinking about getting a Lab. We are thinking about getting another one is a couple more years. And Jaret said that we will be coming back to you for the next one. Take care and we will let you know if we are in your neck of the woods and see if you are up for meeting Gunner once again. "
Much thanks,
Andrea, Jaret, Samuel & Gunner

Hi Leila,
Everything is going great and Bandit is definitely a big part of the family. Everybody is walking and jogging more just to tire him out! He loves playing along the creek and gets quite excited to go out to the lake. He came face to face with a deer on the lane by the cabin a few weeks ago, and just sat down beside me and didn't move or bark, but then he thought maybe he would just go back to the cabin rather than finishing his walk. He gets pretty interested in any geese flying over our house, as we are kind of on a flight path. He finished "smart puppy" classes with flying colors and even tried some of the agility stuff - most of the other puppies weren't keen on going through the tunnels, but Bandit would just go pounding through and clean up everybody else's treats. He would happily play in there all day.

"What are the chances of two dogs; brother and sister meeting at a lake on the same weekend in Saskatchewan? Wendell and I were at Nemeiben Lake camping for the weekend with our dog Bubba. I was cleaning up from a meal and Wendell was throwing a stick for Bubba to retrieve off the dock; when Dwayne spotted them. Dwayne (mistakenly taking Bubba for his dog Cruise) told Wendell, “Hey if my dog’s bothering you, just send it on home to our campsite.” Wendell, quite confused, (and thinking Dwayne was perhaps enjoying himself a little too much), told him that this was his dog. Dwayne disbelievingly told Wendell that he had one looked just like that! Sure enough, the next morning, along came Leah and Cruise; and brother and sister got to meet! What a laugh we had; and what fun Cruise and Bubba had tearing around and swimming together (along with Cruise’s guardian Muffin)! We’re sending along some pics as proof and for you to enjoy!"
